                                        Хорошая жизнь  манит

     «Хорошее  общество» признает стандартную  капиталистическую систему и  ее руководителей.  Но существуют вещи, c которыми система не справляется ни хорошо, ни плохо. «Этими вещами» в «хорошем обществе» является ответственность государства. 

     Некоторые области государственной деятельности – налицо: ни в одной стране капиталистическая  система не обеспечивает строительство  дешевого жилья, что является вопросом первостепенной важности, и за что должно нести ответственность государство. Еще есть вещи, которые еще больше расходятся с понятием «хорошее общество» по сравнению с такими явлениями, как бездомные люди или люди с плохими жилищными условиями.

     Во  всех цивилизованных странах здравоохранение  также является ответственностью общества. Никому нельзя приписать болезнь  или смерть, потому что он бедный. Великобритания в этой области может  гордо указать на свое превосходство.

     У государства есть еще много жизненно-важных функций. Нужно помнить, что во многом «беднота» нуждается больше, чем «богачи» - например, в парках и местах отдыха, милиции, библиотеках, ремеслах и т.д. Гос. службы «атакуют» обычно те, кто может  обеспечить себя подобными услугами. 

     В «хорошем обществе» внимание необходимо уделять ряду вещей, которые находятся  вне временных промежутков рыночной экономики. Здесь верно можно  говорить об области науки, не исключая  медицинские исследования.  В  капиталистической системе капиталовложения осуществляются с расчетом на краткосрочную прибыль. За поддержку развития науки отвечает в первую очередь государство. 

     Некоторые из действительно важных промышленных достижений последних поколений, такие  как глобальные достижения в сельском хозяйстве, современные авиаперевозки, электронное оборудование последнего поколения, в своем развитии во многом зависели от государственных капиталовложений. Важно еще то, и мы это неохотно начинаем осознавать, что вложения и регулирование долгосрочных проектов в сфере  защиты окружающей среды. «Хорошее общество» защищает и улучшает свою жизнедеятельность в масштабах планеты/Земли.
